Vahidi: Army, IRGC Dealt Crushing Blow to Hostile Forces in Recent Wars

TEHRAN: Chief Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Major General Ahmad Vahidi has said the Iranian Army and IRGC, as two major forces opposing US influence, dealt a severe blow to what he described as “terrorist powers” during recent wars. Speaking at a joint meeting with Army Commander Major General Amir Hatami, Vahidi said Iran’s military capabilities and battlefield realities had become evident during the conflicts, while unprecedented coordination among the armed and law-enforcement forces had contributed to the country’s defense.

Vahidi praised the Iranian Army’s performance, saying the commitment and sacrifice of its commanders and personnel had created what he called “brilliant pages” in Iran’s history. He said the Army demonstrated operational initiative and that the scale of its capabilities exceeded the expectations of its adversaries. According to Vahidi, the battlefield exposed inaccurate assessments of Iran’s military strength and demonstrated the effectiveness of coordination between the Army and the IRGC.

The IRGC commander also argued that Israel’s military would face serious difficulties without US support, while saying Washington and Tel Aviv had encountered what he described as the faith and determination of the Iranian people. He accused US and Israeli intelligence and military agencies of providing misleading assessments of Iran’s resilience to American political leaders. Vahidi also criticized US President Donald Trump, accusing him of using what he called deception and exaggerated claims to portray achievements.
