New Weather System Takes Effect in Sindh, Rain Likely in Karachi and Other Areas

Karachi: Several parts of Sindh including Karachi, are possible to have rain due to a low-pressure area bent over the Bay of Bengal and India.

A low pressure area over the Indian state of Chhattisgarh is now present over Madhya Pradesh and adjoining areas, which is likely to move west and northwest, according to the Meteorological Department.

Today’s weather system may pass light rain and cloudbursts to Karachi on Monday and Tuesday.

Today to September 15, moderate and heavy rain with strong winds, gusty winds and thunder are likely in the districts of Tharparkar, Umerkot, Mirpur Khas, Badin, Sujawal and Tando Muhammad Khan, with intermittent moderate and heavy rain at some places reported by Meteorological Department.

Moreover, several areas are expected to experience light to restrained rain with strong winds, blustery winds and thunder is also likely in the districts of Sanghar, Khairpur, Hyderabad, Tando Allahyar, Matiari and Jamshoro from September 14 to 15.
