Amitabh Bachchan Reveals He Has No Plans to Retire From Acting

At 83, Amitabh Bachchan continues to remain active in the entertainment industry, despite repeated rumours about him stepping away from work.

The latest speculation began after the veteran actor wrote “time to retire” in a blog post. His words were extensively understood as a probably notice that he was scheduling to vacated acting or hosting.

Though, Bachchan has now enlightened that his announcement was misinterpreted. He clarified that he was only mentioning to going to bed because it was late, not retiring from his career.

The Sholay star also shared a newspaper feature of a report that had taken his words as a retirement clue.

Making his position clear, Bachchan said he has no plans to retire from work and explained the actual meaning behind his previous statement.

The actor remains busy with several projects. He is presently hosting Season 18 of Kaun Banega Crorepati, a show he has been allied with since its launch in 2000, excluding for the 2007 season, which was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan.
