Chairman CDA visits Diplomatic Enclave to Reviews Progress on development and Uplifting Works

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) conducted a detailed visit to the Diplomatic Enclave to review the latest progress of ongoing development, uplifting, beautification and infrastructure improvement works aimed at further enhancing the security, landscaping, functionality and overall environment of the area. Member Building, DG Works, DG Infrastructure, ADC(G), Project Director and other senior officers accompanied the Chairman during the visit.

During the visit, the Chairman CDA inspected various ongoing works and reviewed their pace, progress and quality. The concerned officers briefed him in detail on the progress achieved so far, ongoing activities and the measures being taken to complete the remaining works within the stipulated timelines.

The Chairman CDA directed the concerned formations to ensure that all development and uplifting works are executed strictly in accordance with approved designs, specifications and the highest standards of quality. He emphasized that the Diplomatic Enclave is a highly important and sensitive area and an important part of Islamabad’s diplomatic landscape. Therefore, it should reflect the image of Islamabad as a planned, modern, beautiful, secure and well managed federal capital.

The ongoing uplifting of Diplomatic Enclave includes the improvement of roads and footpaths, renovation and upgrading of security gates and check posts, improvement of waiting areas, boundary wall works, installation and upgrading of security and LED lighting systems, fencing and grills, landscaping, tree trimming, and improvement of green belts and medians, along with other allied infrastructure works.

The Chairman CDA stressed that special attention must be given to landscaping, cleanliness, illumination and the overall visual appearance of the Diplomatic Enclave. He directed the relevant departments of CDA to ensure proper maintenance of green areas, roads, footpaths and public spaces so that the entire area presents a clean, attractive, well organized and welcoming appearance and all ongoing development and uplift works be completed expeditiously within the stipulated timelines without compromising on quality. He also emphasized that effective arrangements must be made to minimize inconvenience to diplomatic missions, residents, visitors and other stakeholders during the execution of the works.

The Chairman CDA also emphasized close coordination among all concerned formations of CDA to ensure that development, security, landscaping, sanitation and maintenance activities are carried out in an integrated and coordinated manner.

The uplifting and modernization of the Diplomatic Enclave is part of CDA’s broader efforts to improve Islamabad’s infrastructure, upgrade public spaces and strengthen the capital’s identity as a beautiful, green, secure, environment-friendly and internationally welcoming federal capital of Pakistan.

The Chairman CDA directed the concerned officers of CDA to ensure regular field monitoring of all ongoing works and to provide timely progress updates so that the project is completed within the stipulated timelines and in accordance with the required quality standards.

CDA remains committed to continuously improving Islamabad’s infrastructure, public spaces and civic facilities and to ensuring that the federal capital provides a modern, safe, clean, well-managed and welcoming environment for citizens, diplomatic missions and international visitors.
