Emraan Hashmi, Himesh Reshammiya and Aditya Datt Reunite for Action Film Gunmaaster G9

Actor Emraan Hashmi is back again along with Aditya Datt for their next project Gunmaaster G9, nearly two decades after their film Aashiq Banaya Aapne.

On Thursday, the makers announced the project that Hashmi, Datt, music composer Himesh Reshammiya will also work together again after many years.

The trio has reunited for the film’s newly released romantic track, ‘Afsaana Banaaya Aapne’, which features Emraan Hashmi alongside actress Genelia Deshmukh.

Gunmaaster G9 is produce by Deepak Mukut and Hunar Mukut over their banner, Soham Rockstar Entertainment. Emraan Hashmi will take on a new action avatar in the film which will feature stylish illustrations, extreme action and an expressive story.

The director Aditya Datt shows his anticipation about working with Hashmi and Reshammiya again.

The director said that when they made Aashiq Banaya Aapne, they were young, determined and eager to tryout. He further said that Gunmaaster G9 brings them together again with more skill and a shriller approach.

Producer Deepak Mukut described the movie as “slick, emotional, and with mass appeal.” He also admired Datt’s visualization and said the film has a solid cast, such as Emraan Hashmi, Genelia D’Souza and Aparshakti Khurana.

Genelia D’Souza, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Singh are also part of the cast.

Gunmaaster G9 will begin filming in Mumbai after the monsoon season, while the film is expected to hit cinemas in 2026.
