Pakistan Summons Indian Diplomat Over Killing of Two Citizens at Kasur Border

Pakistan has summoned India’s Chargé d’Affaires to the Foreign Office and lodged a strong protest over the killing of two Pakistani citizens by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) personnel at the Bedian sector along the International Border in Kasur on October 2, according to the Foreign Office spokesperson.
The Foreign Office said the BSF personnel used lethal force against unarmed Pakistani civilians without provocation, describing the use of force as unjustified and grossly disproportionate. Pakistan rejected any attempt to portray the deceased civilians as “infiltrators,” saying the incident represented a serious violation of fundamental human rights and raised grave concerns regarding the protection of civilian lives under international law.
Pakistan has called on India to conduct an immediate, transparent and credible investigation into the incident and take appropriate departmental and legal action against those responsible. Islamabad has also demanded that India formally share the findings of the investigation and measures taken with Pakistan, while urging New Delhi to respect international law and fundamental human rights, strictly adhere to bilateral arrangements and established border procedures, and take effective steps to prevent similar incidents in the future.
