Ishaq Dar Arrives in Madinah Ahead of Saudi Arabia Defence Agreement Meeting

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar arrived in Madinah Munawwarah ahead of a meeting in Riyadh under the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement.
Dar was received in Madinah by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, the Consul General of Pakistan in Jeddah, the Director General of the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Madinah Branch and representatives of Saudi Royal Protocol.
During his visit, the deputy prime minister paid respects at Roza-e-Rasool ﷺ and offered prayers for the peace and prosperity of Pakistan, the well-being of its people and the Muslim Ummah, as well as regional peace and stability.
Dar also visited Jabal Uhud, where he paid homage to the Shuhada-e-Uhud and offered prayers.
He later proceeded to Riyadh to attend a meeting of the Strategic Political and Defence Committee (SPDC).
Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir are also participating in the meeting, alongside their counterparts from Saudi Arabia and Türkiye.
The meeting is being held under the framework of the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement and will focus on strategic political and defence cooperation among the participating countries.
