Iranian Courts Award Over $290 Billion in Rulings Against US: Judiciary Official

Abdolianpour said Iranian courts had previously issued judgments worth approximately $40 billion against the United States, including cases involving patients suffering from epidermolysis bullosa (EB), a rare genetic skin disorder. He claimed the earlier rulings had subsequently led judicial authorities to seize several ships belonging to Iran’s adversaries. According to the official, the total value of judgments issued against the United States by Iranian courts had exceeded $290 billion this year. He added that Iran was applying a legal approach similar to that used by Washington in pursuing legal claims.
The judiciary official said thousands of expert assessments had been conducted at locations across Iran, including Minab, Lar, Lamerd, Bastak, Bandar Abbas and Sirik. He claimed that more than 100 students had been killed and approximately 1,000 schools had been attacked, alongside scientific institutions including Sharif University of Technology and the Iran University of Science and Technology. Abdolianpour also cited pharmaceutical company Tofigh Daru, which he said manufactured specialised medicines for patients with rare and serious illnesses, questioning why the facility had been targeted. The allegations and the stated value of the court judgments were attributed to the Iranian judiciary official.
