Maryam Nawaz Vows to Empower Women and Provide Students with a Safe Environment

Maryam Nawaz said that, as Punjab’s first female chief minister, she worked every day to empower other women and create opportunities for them to succeed. Recalling a time when girls, including herself, experienced different forms of fear and insecurity, she said growing confidence among young women had helped overcome those barriers. She emphasised that every girl’s success represented an important achievement for her family and society.

The chief minister pledged to utilise all available resources to help students become financially independent and stand on their own feet. Describing Punjab as her home, she said she wanted to see every street and neighbourhood clean and well-maintained. She also urged the students not to lose confidence, assuring them that her responsibility was to provide them with a safe environment in which they could pursue their ambitions and build a better future.
