Maulana Sherani announces JUI Pakistan against JUI Fazlur Rehman group (JUIF).

Veteran cleric and senior politician Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani made this announcement Tuesday.

His formal announcement came days after JUI-F expelled him, Hafiz Hussain Ahmed and others.

They had made controversial statements which irked JUIF chief.

Sherani had also served Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) in the past.

While addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Sherani said they inherited the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Pakistan party from great leaders.

However, he disowned Fazlur Rehman’s JUI-F.

Furthermore, he claimed that he and his followers never remained part of the JUI-F.

He clarified that they remained and would always remain a member in accordance with the JUI’s constitution.

Senior cleric said that he and his supporters believe in teachings of Qur’an and Sunnah.

JUI-F slammed for lying

He slammed Maulana Fazlur Rehman and implied the latter spoke devoid of truth and honesty.

Moreover, he said: God’s curse is on liars and traitors.

He said he inherited politics from the great leaders [but] these members are no longer members of this party,” he added.

No political worker would be pressured under the party’s discipline, Sherani underscored.

Meanwhile, he also announced future plan comprising of three points and seven points, respectively.

He said that the first off, no one will take any step against the Qur’an and Sunnah.

Second, no political worker will be forced to do any work.

Third, we should encourage all colleagues not to break with the party or be stubborn.

He said they tolerate and listen to what people say about us but we will try to isolate such liars.

Conditions for Fazl

However, Sherani also put some conditions on their programme with the Fazlur Rehman faction.

That also include ensuring participation if invited to an event and discouraging questions over such attendance.

He emphasized the need for replacing negative attitudes with the positive ones.

The JUI-P leader demanded passage of a resolution to cancel the JUI-F’s notification.

Furthermore, he said to submit the new notification from the JUI-P to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
