African Union delegation meets Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad today (Wednesday).
President National Assembly of Republic of Djibouti Mohamed Ali Houmed-led the delegation.

Mohamed Ali Houmed is also serving acting Chairman African Union Parliament.
Therefore, the meeting covers both bilateral and regional level matters.
The PM told them that Pakistan’s “Engage Africa” policy aims at forging closer ties with the Continent.
While talking to them, he said his government aims to expand Islamabad’s diplomatic footprint and deepening economic engagement.
The Prime Minister further underlined that Pakistan would soon establish its resident diplomatic Mission in Djibouti.
Moreover, they also exchanged views on the importance of peace and security in the regional context of both Pakistan and Djibouti.
Meanwhile, President National Assembly of Djibouti appreciated Pakistan’s historical support.
He also expressed the hope that visit of Parliamentary delegation would help in further consolidating bilateral relations.
Earlier, the 12-member African Union delegation began Pakistan Tuesday.
According to a press release of the Senate of Pakistan, the AU delegation is visiting Pakistan on the invitation of Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sinjrani.
It further said the Navel Chief of Djibouti will also accompany the high level African Parliamentary delegation.
