NCOC launches helpline against violation of the SOPs regarding Coronavirus standard operating procedures.

Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Health Dr. Faisal Sultan has urged people to strictly follow the SOPs to check the spread of coronavirus.

He made this appeal, while talking to the media in Islamabad today. He noted pressure on hospitals is growing with rising number of patients.

He further alerted third wave of Coronavirus more severe. He referred to patients coming with COVID-19 infection in hospitals in Islamabad, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and other areas of the country.

Moreover, the SAPM appealed the masses to take the spread of virus seriously.

Besides, he asked them to strictly follow the SOPs being communicated by the health authorities.

He said that people should avoid going to gatherings in closed places.

He hailed the health authorities and front line health workers for their efforts to fight the pandemic.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s nerve centre to monitor the coronavirus situation, National Command and Operation Center, has launched a helpline.

It launched helpline for citizens to report any violation of the standard operating procedures for COVID-19 from anywhere in the country.

The NCOC said on Twitter today (Tuesday), ‘in case you come across any violation of COVID SOPs, please text at WhatsAap number 0335-3336262.”

It also mentioned types of violation such as non-wearing masks.

It further said violations of the coronavirus-related SOPs also include non-adherence to social distancing, overcrowding at public places, etc.

According to the NCOC, people should take a picture and brief account of violation and send it to 03353336262 (0335333NCOC) along with the details included “Location Name”, “Tehsil / District / City”, “Date and Time”, and “Event.

Lately, Pakistan’s coronavirus positivity rate has surpassed 11 percent.
