That involved several nearby cars outside and a telephone box.

However,  firefighters claimed to have brought fire under control nearly four hours after it started.

Meanwhile, Network Rail said no trains are travelling to or through the rail station in southeast London for the rest of the day after a blaze broke out on Monday afternoon.

National Rail, the UK’s rail network operator, said in a statement that the fire occurred “next to the track,” while Southwark Police tweeted that the incident is “not believed to be terror related.”

Six people have been treated by the London Ambulance Servic, with one taken to hospital.

Moreover, London Fire Brigade said the cause of the blaze not yet known. However, the Metropolitan Police believed it not related to terrorism.

Fifteen fire engines and about 100 firefighters reached the scene after the brigade received 44 calls to its 999 operators at 1.43pm.

Meanwhile, videos on social media show large plumes of smoke rising into the sky.

The video also showed people running for cover in one clip as a fireball erupts into the air.
