Anwarul Haq and Riaz Ahmad of PTI elected Speaker and Deputy Speaker AJK LA – Azad Jammu and Kashmir’s Legislative Assembly.
Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf’s candidate Anwar-ul-Haq was elected as Speaker today.

Moreover, the MLAs majority elected Chaudhry Riyaz as Deputy Speaker of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly.
They secured 32 votes each against the joint candidates of PPP and PML-N.
However, PPP and PMLN’s joint candidates got 15 votes.
Later, both the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker took oath of their offices.
Earlier, the newly elected members of the Legislative Assembly also took oath of their offices.
Meanwhile, according to official sources, the AJKA LA would elect Leader of the House tomorrow (Wednesday).
