Abdul Razzaq likely to get key role in new PCB setup

Former Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzaq is likely to get a key role in the new Pakistan Cricket Board setup, Cricket Pakistan reported Saturday.

According to reports, the former all-rounder would be joining the Wahab Riaz-led selection committee.

Razzaq was approached by the former pacer to discuss the role.

Following a meeting with PCB Chairman Mohsin Khan, Razzaq has agreed to take on responsibilities within the committee, aiming to leverage his extensive experience for the betterment of the sport in the country.

The 44-year-old has already met Chief Operating Officer Salman Naseer and other senior official in this regard.

Beyond selection duties, Razzaq is expected to play a pivotal part in guiding and enhancing the performance of the nation’s emerging cricketing talent.

It is worth mentioning here that he represented Pakistan in 46 Tests, 265 ODIs and 32 T20Is where he scored, over 7,400 and claimed 389 wickets combined.
