Attack in Iranian Shrine: Pakistan condemned the attack

Pakistan strongly condemned the terrorist attack in an Iranian Shrine, located in the city Shiraz, and condoles over the loss of lives.

The Government of Pakistan has issued a statement, expressed solidarity with the people of Iran and those who are affected with the deadliest attack.

The foreign spokesperson also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured people adding to this, Pakistan also condemns terrorism in its forms and the manifestation.

The State news agency IRNA said, the armed men attacked the Shrine in the Iranian city of Shiraz on Wednesday, killed at least 15 people, as security forces clashed with protesters marking 40 days since the death of Mahsa Amini in custody.

As per reports 13 people were killed and 40 wounded, and that three assailants were involved.

Local judiciary chief Kazem Mousavi told state television that “only one terrorist was involved in this attack”.

Whereas IRNA described the attackers as ‘terrorists’

The Islamic State group has claimed the responsibility of the attack.
