Balochistan announces winter vacations for schools, colleges

As winter slowly tightens its grip across Pakistan, students and parents are trying to find out when the long winter holidays will begin this year. In Chaman, the school schedule is already busy. Annual exams for Classes 1 to 7 started on 16 November and will continue until 24 November. Right after these papers end, the Balochistan Board will begin the Class 8 exams from 24 November.

In the colder parts of Balochistan, temperatures are expected to drop sharply in the coming weeks. Because of this harsh weather, all government schools will close for winter vacations from 16 December 2025. These holidays will last for almost two and a half months, and schools are expected to reopen in early March when the weather becomes bearable again.

Punjab has also shared its complete winter vacation plan. According to the official schedule, schools across the province will go on break from 23 December 2025. The holidays will continue until 11 January 2026. All schools will reopen on 13 January 2026, and the new academic year will start on the same day. On the other hand, families in Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are still waiting for their final notifications as cold winds are now moving into those regions as well.
