Who is Adria Arjona? Actress Joins Superman: Man of Tomorrow
Actress Adria Arjona has reportedly joined the cast of Superman: Man of Tomorrow, taking on the role of Maxima in the highly anticipated superhero sequel.
The upcoming film is part of James Gunn’s expanding DC Universe and serves as a direct continuation of Superman (2025). The movie is currently in production and is scheduled to hit theaters on July 9, 2027.
David Corenswet will return as Superman, alongside Nicholas Hoult reprising his role as Lex Luthor. Additionally, Lars Eidinger is set to portray the primary antagonist, Brainiac.
Arjona will portray Maxima, a powerful alien queen in DC Comics known for her immense strength and complicated dynamic with Superman. Depending on the storyline, Maxima is depicted as both an ally and an adversary, adding depth to the narrative. Her inclusion is expected to broaden the intergalactic and cosmic scope of the DC Universe.
Filming for the sequel is scheduled to begin in late April 2026 in Atlanta, marking a significant step in DC Studios’ long-term cinematic plans.

Adria Arjona, born on April 25, 1992, is a Puerto Rican–Guatemalan actress recognized for her roles in major Hollywood productions and streaming series.
She gained widespread fame for playing Bix Caleen in the series Andor. Her film credits include appearances in Morbius and Pacific Rim: Uprising.
Arjona is also set to appear in upcoming international projects, including the remake of The Thomas Crown Affair, further solidifying her position in the global film industry.
