Bharat Kapoor, Known for Versatile Roles, Dies at 80
In Mumbai at Sion Hospital, the actor took his last breath at around 3:30 pm, and in the evening around 6:30 PM, held his last rites in the presence of family members and close friends.
Kapoor’s close friend Avtar Gold told India Today, “I just came from the cremation, which took place at 6:30 pm. He passed away at around 3 pm today at Sion Hospital in Mumbai. He had not been keeping well for the past three days. Over the last few days, his multiple organs had started failing.”
Bharat Kapoor starting his career in 1927, and continued working for almost 40 years. He is known for his excellent talent, in supporting and protagonist roles. As years went by, he appeared in numerous renowned Hindi films, such as Noorie, Ram Balram, Love Story, Bazaar, Ghulami, Aakhree Raasta, Satyamev Jayate, Swarg, Khuda Gawah and Rang.
Not only in films, he made his name on Television as well, he shines in the famous shows including Campus, Parampara, Rahat, Saans, Amanat, Tara, Chunauti and Kahani Chandrakanta Ki.
Bharat Kapoor’s career and varied choice of roles received alot respect in the industry. For many viewers, he still a endless presence on screen, famous for making every role feel deeply authentic
