Javier Bardem Loses Movies in Hollywood Over Supporting Palestine

Javier Bardem, Oscar Winning Spanish Star is said to be facing professional setbacks in Hollywood due to his outspoken support for Palestine.

The 57-year-old Spanish star has been one of the most articulated celebrity speaking for Gaza Genocide on the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict.

At the 2026 Academy Awards in March, Bardem wore an “Anti-War” patch along with a Pro-Palestine pin on his suit. Before presenting the Best International Feature Film award alongside Priyanka Chopra, he declared, “No to war and free Palestine.”

In a recent interview at a Film Award Ceremony, Bardem said his neutral and humanistic stance has impacted his career opportunities. He compared his experience to that of actress Susan Sarandon, who has also spoken about facing reduced work opportunities after attending a Pro-Palestine rally in 2023.

Bardem said he had been told that certain projects and brand endorsements were no longer available to him. However, he added that he remains unconcerned, noting that as a Spain-based actor, he is not dependent solely on Hollywood.
