As per India media reports, Pradeep Rawat had been battling cancer and had been hospitalized for the past month. ccording to his manager Siddharth Tiwari, his health get worse after the cancer relapsed, and he passed away due to the illness.
The deceased is survived by his wife and son Vikram Aditya. After the news of his death came out, film personalities and fans are expressing their sorrow and condolences.
Having worked alongside Pradeep Rawat in Lagaan, actress Yashpal Sharma expressed his grief on Instagram and paid tribute to the veteran actor’s outstanding artistic journey.
Pradeep Rawat begun his acting career by playing the role of Ashwatthama in well-known producer BR Chopra’s famous historical drama ‘Mahabharat’, which become a major milestone in his acting journey. Later, he turned to the film world and gained immense popularity in villain roles due to his lively acting.
He impressed the audience by playing the role of a terrifying villain in Aamir Khan’s super hit film ‘Ghajini’, while his role as Diva in the film ‘Lagaan’ was also very popular. Apart from this, his acting in several films including ‘Rowdy Rathore’ and the successful South Indian film ‘Saay’ was highly appreciated by critics and fans.
