Celebrities Express Outrage Over 18-Month-Old Girl’s Murder in Karachi
The tragic rape and murder of an 18-month-old girl in Karachi’s Qayyumabad area has sparked widespread grief and outrage across Pakistan, with several celebrities speaking out and demanding justice for the child.
According to police, a First Information Report (FIR) was registered based on the statement of the victim’s father. The complaint stated that a 17-year-old relative, who had been living with the family, took the toddler outside to buy food. When he returned, the child was unconscious.
The family immediately rushed the girl to a private hospital before transferring her to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), where doctors pronounced her dead. Police later arrested the 17-year-old suspect on charges of rape and murder. The investigation is currently underway.
The heartbreaking incident has led to strong reactions from Pakistan’s entertainment industry, with many celebrities using social media to demand strict action against the accused.
Actress Sanam Baloch described the incident as “devastating” and said she could not imagine the pain the child’s family was going through. She stressed that the safety of children must remain a top priority and called for justice to be served without delay.
Actor Adnan Siddiqui expressed shock and anger over the crime, saying he was heartbroken by the tragedy. He called for swift and uncompromising justice for the young victim while offering prayers and strength for her grieving family.
Actress Ayesha Omar also reacted strongly, saying the country had reached “the lowest of lows.” She urged people and authorities to take collective action to prevent such horrific crimes from happening again.
Actor Ahsan Khan shared news of the incident on Instagram and tagged the Sindh government, urging authorities to act. Actress Aiman Khan also condemned the crime, calling for strict punishment for those responsible.
Meanwhile, actress Srha Asghar expressed sorrow over another heartbreaking incident involving a child, while Zhalay Sarhadi prayed for God’s mercy during these difficult times.
The tragic case has once again raised serious concerns about child safety in Pakistan, with many people calling for stronger laws, faster justice, and better protection for children.
