Ajay Devgn Replaces Anup Soni as Crime Patrol Host, Fans React

Bollywood famous actor Ajay Devgn face strong social media criticism after first teaser of Crime Petrol out and show him as the new host of the show.

The Hum Dil De Chukay Sanam Actor has replaced longtime host Anup Soni and will take over as the host for the new season of famous Indian crime show.

Crime Petrol 2026 first promo officially shared by Ajay Devgn, in which he spread awareness about stranger that, at the very young age people taught us about  to be careful from unknown persons and people should locked their home at night,  he points out that in many cases, the person behind a crime can be someone close to the victim.

He says that such people may know where you live, have access to your home and even sit with you at the dining table. Devgn then presents the latest franchise of the show, noted that it will bring stories of cases that shocked the country. He further highlights about aim is not to startle viewers but to make them more aware of what is happening around them.

However, the announcement did not receive the response the makers may have expected. Many viewers took to social media to express their disappointment over Anup Soni’s replacement, as he had hosted the show for around eight to nine years.

One user commented, “Anup Soni kidhar hai?” while another criticized Devgn, writing, “Pehly gutkha companies ko promote karna band karo.”

Another unhappy viewer took a dig at Devgn’s move to television, commenting, “Movies flop ho gayi to TV walon ka kaam khane lagay.”

Despite the mixed reaction, Crime Patrol 2026 is set to premiere on August 31, with Devgn taking over the hosting duties for the new season.
