Godzilla Minus Zero Trailer Hints at King Ghidorah’s Return

The upcoming Godzilla Minus Zero left the fans with several questions after the film trailer teased the possible return of King Ghidorah.

At the end of the teaser a three-headed monster roar give strongly hints of its arrival, but its remain under wraps that how how King Ghidorah will fit into the story or what his role will be.

The traditional mythology of Godzilla, , King Ghidorah has been portrayed as an alien creature that arrives on Earth to destroy planets and civilizations. However, the monster’s origins have been changed in previous versions of the franchise, so the upcoming Godzilla Minus Zero could take a new approach of Ghidorah background.

A major theory suggests humans could have created Ghidorah themselves as a weapon against Godzilla.  The idea is linked to “Project Narukami,” which is mentioned in the trailer by Kenji Noda, a returning character from Godzilla Minus One.

The name Narukami is allied with Raijin, the Shinto god of thunder and lightning. In view of King Ghidorah’s linking to electricity and storms, the allusion has led fans to believe that the project could be connected to the monster.

However, another possibility is that Project Narukami is actually designed to stop or destroy Ghidorah.

The theory of humans creating Ghidorah is further supported by the line, “Another moral boundary should not be crossed,” which is heard just before the monster’s roar. The scene could suggest that the humans may be willing to cross serious ethical limits to defeat Godzilla.

If humans really are behind Ghidorah’s creation, Godzilla Minus Zero could completely change the way fans understand the iconic villain.
