Gold rates surge by Rs6,100/tola

Gold prices in Pakistan saw a sharp increase for the second day in a row on Tuesday, as international rates of the yellow metal continued to climb. The rise in global gold prices has directly impacted local markets, pushing rates to record highs.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs. 6,100, reaching Rs. 356,100, compared to Rs. 350,000 on the previous trading day.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs. 5,232, hitting Rs. 305,300 from the earlier rate of Rs. 300,068. For 22-karat gold, the rate for 10 grams increased by Rs. 4,796, bringing the new price to Rs. 279,868, up from Rs. 275,072.
Silver prices also followed the upward trend. The rate of per tola silver went up by Rs. 57, reaching Rs. 3,482, while 10 grams of silver increased by Rs. 22 to Rs. 2,985.
In the international market, gold prices surged by $61, jumping from $3,316 to $3,377 per ounce. Silver prices also increased globally, rising by $0.57 to $33.00 per ounce.
This consistent increase in gold and silver prices reflects the global uncertainty and economic pressures that are driving investors toward safer assets.
