Iran Strikes US Base in Jordan, Missile Defense System and F-15 Jet Destroyed
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards claim they destroyed a US missile defense radar system and an F-15 fighter jet at an American base in Jordan during what they called the 24th wave of Operation Nasr 2. The claim has not been independently confirmed by US officials.
The IRGC said the strike targeted radar and air defense systems to weaken US capabilities and prepare the way for further missile and drone operations. Iran also warned American forces to leave the region to avoid more casualties.
The claim comes after a recent confirmed Iranian attack on a US base in Jordan that killed American soldiers and wounded others. However, it remains unclear whether the latest statement refers to a separate strike or an expanded account of the same incident.
If confirmed, the destruction of a radar system and F-15 would represent a major loss for US forces. However, independent verification is still needed as both sides continue making conflicting claims during the escalating conflict.
