National Economic Council approves Rs2100bn total development outlay for the next financial year.

It also includes Rs 900 billion for Public Sector Development Program.

Prime Minister Imran Khan presided over the council meeting in Islamabad.

It approved the Macroeconomic Framework for Annual Plan 2021-22.

Furthermore, the meeting approved the Gross Domestic Product growth projections for the financial year 2021-22.

It includes the proposed growth target of 4.8 per cent.

NEC was informed that with the operationalization of the Public Private Partnership Authority, a number of projects are also being expeditiously processed for implementation.

These include Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway and Sialkot-Kharian Motorway, which remain at an advanced stage.

Other major projects such as Karachi Circular Railway, KPT-PIPRI Freight Corridor, Kharian – Rawalpindi Motorway, Balkasar – Mianwali Road, Quetta – Karachi –  Chaman Highway may begin during the year.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan addressed the meeting.

He emphasized on increasing the pace of implementation of development projects.

Khan called for it to ensure translating the gains made through stabilization of the economy into economic growth.

That result in the well-being of the people.

PM inaugurates mobile unit for one window loans for housing scheme

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated mobile unit for one window loans for housing scheme namely Naya Pakistan. 

It aims to facilitate the people in getting information and loans for the low cost housing program.

In partnership with National Bank of Pakistan and Naya Pakistan Housing Authority, the mobile unit will serve as a one window for the loans.
