Negotiations with the IMF on tax matters

Islamabad (Web Desk): Negotiations on tax policy, institutional reforms and tax administration are underway with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission. According to sources, 3 meetings will be held today between FBR, Ministry of Finance and IMF mission. In these meetings, there will be a briefing on customer data sharing and revenue measures between FBR, banks, NADRA. According to the sources, the customer data sharing report from the banks will be sent to the IMF in January, according to the information from the customers, the tax policy will also be amended. Sources say that the State Bank will also provide customer information reports from banks.The IMF will be briefed on the FBR reform program with the support of the World Bank. According to sources, the FBR will also provide a report on the increase in the number of taxpayers to the IMF.
