Pakistan active Coronavirus cases reduced to 8803 with the recovery of over 94 percent recoveries.

According to the latest statistics, 279, 561 patients have recovered from Coronavirus in Pakistan.

Now Pakistan has 8,803 active Coronavirus cases in the country.

Of the 23, 441 coronavirus tests carried out over the last twenty four hours, four hundred and forty five new cases surfaced.

Six new deaths have also been reported from the virus during the last twenty-four hours.

On Wednesday, National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) stressed for compliance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and health guidelines on tourism destinations.

Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar chaired the meeting of NCOC.

They discussed the update on Muharram management plan and SOPs compliance at various tourist destinations.

It also called for encouraging sentinel testing at various locations for virus detection.

Officials informed that the staff noticed violations of safety guidelines and social distancing at tourist sites.

That has created risk of resurgence of the Covid-19 outbreak in the country.

Officials concerned briefed that the SOPs compliance wearing of facemasks, use of hand sanitizers and social distancing were necessary to contain the pandemic break out in the country.

However, adherence to safety guidelines had improved during Muharram majalis that needed to be optimized further with public cooperation.

The Forum directed the authorities concerned to speed up administrative measures for SOPs compliance in high risk areas.
