Pakistan condemns former Canadian Minister misleading comments.

In a tweet on Monday, Foreign Office Spokesperson, Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri strongly condemned the unwarranted comments.

He rejected former Canadian Minister Chris Alexander’s comments as unfounded and misleading assertions about Pakistan’s role in the Afghan peace process.

He further said that Pakistan has taken up the matter with Canadian government.

The government has urged Canada to take steps to address this motivated and malicious smear campaign against Pakistan.

The spokesperson said such remarks amount to a complete lack of understanding of the issue as well as ignorance of facts on ground.

He said such gratuitous commentary remain deplorable at the time when the world acknowledges what Pakistan and Prime Minister Imran Khan has consistently maintained on no military solution to the conflict in Afghanistan.

Moreover, Pakistan also stressed an inclusive, broad-based and comprehensive political settlement

FM Qureshi accuses India of sabotaging peace in the region

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi accused India of sabotaging peace in the region.

He underlined establishment of peace in the region as the top priority of Pakistan.

In a statement issued in Multan, he said India is playing the role of spoiler.

Furthermore, he said India wants to sabotage the peace in the region.

He said Prime Minister Imran Khan is playing role of ambassador of Kashmir, Palestine and entire Muslim Ummah.

The FM referred that Pakistan is raising the issue of Kashmir, Palestine and suppressed Muslims at every international forum.
