Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi issued a condolence message to Senator Sirajul Haq and the bereaved family.

He expressed his deep grief and sorrow. He prayed for the departed soul and for the bereaved family to bear the loss with fortitude.

Meanwhile, President Dr Arif Alvi also expressed his condolence over the death of mother of Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Senator Sirajul Haq.

In a tweet, the president prayed for the high ranks of the departed soul.

He also prayed for the bereaved family to bear the loss with fortitude.

He further tweeted: Our link to the departed remains in the good deeds we do.

According to another press release, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi also expressed condolence over death of senior journalist Arshad Waheed Chaudhry.

He offered condolences to the bereaved family of the Geo TV anchorperson and vice president of National Press Club.

Furthermore, he prayed for the high ranks of the departed soul.

The foreign minister also lauded those journalists who had been performing their professional duties during the coronavirus pandemic.

Late Arshad Chaudhry was diagnosed with Covid-19 and had been on ventilator after developing complications.

Meanwhile, Leader of the House in the Senate, Senator Dr. Shahzad Waseem and Leader of the opposition in the Senate Raja Zafarul Haq also expressed grief and sorrow.
