GB CM announces mountaineer training centre to honour Ali Sadpara.

Gilgit Baltistan Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid Khan on Tuesday also announced that Rs3 million for the widow of mountaineer Mohammad Ali Sadpara.

The family confirmed acclaimed mountaineer Ali Sadpara’s death last week. He had gone missing on the K2 mountain.

Moreover, the CM GB said that GB government would ensure training of mountaineer Sajid Ali Sadpara, son of M Ali in accordance with international standards.

Then, the GB govt would assign him to provide training to aspiring climbers in the Mohammad Ali Sadpara Institute for Adventure Sports, Mountaineering and Rock Climbing.

Khalid Khurshid was referring to the future institute which the GB would establish to honour Ali Sadpara.

Tributes for Sadpara

Meanwhile, the GB CM Khan paid tribute to Mohammad Ali Sadpara during the cabinet meeting.

He further that the mountaineer Sadpara had brought recognition for Pakistan across the globe.

The CM also highlighted that the mountaineer chose the profession despite limited resources and dangers.

GB government vowed to remember his services, while paying tribute to him and all those unsung heroes who made GB proud with their achievements despite limited resources.

Meanwhile, the Khalid Khurshid announced to formulate policy to promote the sport of mountain climbing.

Under that, the GB govt would ensure protection and assistance of mountaineers.

It aims to provide them with better resources and training.
