PSX at an all-time high of 53,860 points,index gained 12,408 points in 4 months

PSX surges to all-time high, crosses 53,000 milestone
The 100-index of Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed an all-time high trend on Monday, gaining 737.33 points, a positive change of 1.39 percent, closing at 53,860.37 points against 53,123.04 points the previous day Nov 3.
The highest level of the market today was 53,938 points while the lowest level of the market was 53,166 points.The benchmark of the national bourse exceeded in the outgoing week its all-time high of 52,876 points that it achieved in May 2017.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 269.492 million shares.The index recorded a gain of 2179 points in the last week alone.The KSE 100 index (.KSE) has gained almost 12,408 points or 30% in the fiscal year.
The commentators and analysts interpreted the reasons of index gains are due to the announcement of general elections on Feb 8, the government’s deliberations on the Special Investment Facilitation Council, projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and Pakistan’s ongoing talks with the IMF.
