Minimum Sadqah-e-Fitr fixed at Rs220 per head

Chairman Council of Islamic Ideology Dr. Raghib Hussain Naeemi announced the Nisab of Sadaqah-e-Fitr and Fidya Soom.
According to Dr. Raghib Naeemi, the chairman of Council of Islamic Ideology, this year minimum sadaqah-e-fitr has been fixed at Rs220 per person.
The values set for different foods are Rs220 for wheat, Rs450 for barley and Rs1650 for dates.
Dr. Raghib Naeemi sais that minimum Nisab for raisins has been fixed at Rs2500.
The chairman of Islamic Ideological Council further said that philanthropists should pay zakat-e-fitr and fidya sum according to financial status.
It is obligatory on every slave and free, male and female Muslim, to pay charity.
