COAS discusses national security issues in 268th Corps Commanders Conference

The Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir, Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military) presides over 268th Corps Commanders Conference.
The forum was given a comprehensive briefing on the current situation in the region, challenges facing national security, and Pakistan’s strategy in response to growing threats.
Participants pay tribute to the eternal sacrifices of the martyrs of Pakistan Armed Forces, law enforcement agencies and citizens for the peace and stability of the motherland.
The conference also reviewed the regional and internal security situation in detail.
Forum reiterates commitment to eliminate indiscriminate terrorism at all costs.
In this regard, forum also reiterated its resolve that the state will deal with all its might against anti-national elements, facilitators and those who encourage them, who are trying to destabilize Pakistan.
Moreover, the forum emphasized that peace in Balochistan will not be allowed to be disturbed by any one.
As well as, the nefarious political interests and social elements disrupting the stability and prosperity of Balochistan will be decisively defeated with the unwavering support of the people of Balochistan, the conference participants said.
The true face, nexus and efforts to spread and foster chaos of all domestic and foreign elements in Balochistan have been fully exposed, the conference participants said.
Such elements and those who make such attempts will not be given any kind of amnesty, the forum reiterated.
The forum stressed the need for rapid and effective implementation of the “Commitment to Stability” strategy within the framework of the National Action Plan.
The forum also highlighted the importance of a shared approach against terrorism, with the support of the entire nation.
The conference participants reiterated that state institutions will strictly implement the law within the ambit of the constitution.
There will be no leniency or negligence in the implementation of the law, the conference participants.
The COAS also appreciated the launch of District Coordination Committees established under the National Action Plan across Pakistan.

All institutions should ensure sustained coordination, coordinated efforts and cooperation as per government directives in implementing National Action Plan.

Forum expresses deep concern over ongoing serious human rights violations by India in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Forum also expresses concern over unprovoked ceasefire violations by Indian Army along the Line of Control.
The Forum stressed Pakistan’s strong and unwavering support for the just rights of the people of Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The Forum also stressed the need for sustained diplomatic efforts to highlight the ongoing human rights violations in occupied Jammu and Kashmir at the global level.
The Forum expressed full solidarity with the people of Palestine and strongly condemned the grave human rights violations and war crimes committed in Gaza.
The forum also reiterated its unwavering diplomatic, political and moral support to the Palestinian people.
At the end of the conference, the Chief or Pakistan Army directed the field commanders to maintain the highest standards of operational readiness and professionalism.
The Army Chief also stressed on ensuring rigorous training to maintain optimum combat readiness.
