Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Urges National Unity on Eid ul Azha
Shehbaz urges unity, sacrifice and solidarity in Eid message
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif congratulated the people of Pakistan and the entire Muslim world on Eid ul Azha 1446 Hijri. In his Eid message, he highlighted the values of sacrifice, unity, and compassion.
He reminded the nation about the story of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and Prophet Ismail (AS). Their strong faith and willingness to sacrifice are examples for all Muslims. The prime minister said that Allah loved their selflessness so much that He made it a form of worship.
Shehbaz Sharif prayed for the acceptance of sacrifices by the entire Muslim Ummah. He hoped such blessed days would return again and again with joy and peace.
He stressed that Eid ul Azha is not just about animal sacrifice. It teaches us to give up our personal desires for higher goals. This spirit brings qualities like patience, bravery, and kindness. These are essential for a nation’s progress, he said.
Pakistan, he noted, is on the road to development. The prime minister urged everyone to adopt the spirit of unity and sacrifice. He recalled how the whole nation stood together during a recent Indian attack. That moment showed the strength of national unity, he said.
Now, he said, Pakistan needs the same unity to overcome internal challenges. He called on citizens to take responsibility and help build a strong economy and society.
The prime minister also mentioned Palestine and Kashmir. He said the people in both regions face cruel conditions and deserve our support. Pakistan will always stand with them in their struggles.
He urged everyone to make a promise to work for a peaceful and united Pakistan. He said, “The real message of Eid ul Azha is to think beyond personal interests. We must act for the good of our country.”
He ended his message by praying for true happiness, national strength, and a deep understanding of sacrifice and selflessness.
