Iranian President Visit to Pakistan
Islamabad: Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian departed from Islamabad after completing his two-day official visit to Pakistan.
Federal Ministers Attaullah Tarar and Riaz Hussain Pirzada saw off the visiting dignitary at the airport.
During the farewell, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar presented a photo album to the Iranian President, capturing highlights from the visit.
President Pezeshkian’s trip focused on strengthening bilateral ties, regional cooperation, and boosting economic and cultural partnerships between Iran and Pakistan.
Earlier, President Asif Ali Zardari warmly welcomed Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian at Aiwan-e-Sadr (President House) during his official visit to Pakistan.
Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Iran. They stressed the importance of boosting ties in sectors of mutual interest for shared benefit.
The two presidents held a detailed discussion on key regional and global issues. President Zardari emphasized that Pakistan and Iran enjoy deep-rooted brotherly relations based on shared religion, culture, and mutual respect.
They underlined the need for joint diplomatic efforts to promote peace and stability in the region. President Zardari appreciated Iran’s principled stance on various regional matters and expressed hope for continued cooperation for a peaceful and prosperous future.
He also thanked Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei for his consistent support of the Kashmiri people against Indian occupation.
President Zardari strongly condemned Israeli aggression against Iran and paid tribute to the bravery and unity of the Iranian nation during the recent 12-day conflict.
