Afghan Taliban’s Anti-Pakistan Propaganda Exposed

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has exposed a malicious propaganda campaign being run by the Afghan Taliban regime and India-linked social media accounts against Pakistan.

According to the ministry, several accounts associated with India and the Afghan Taliban have been spreading false and misleading content to defame Pakistan. These accounts recently circulated old videos from the December 2022 Chaman gathering, falsely presenting them as recent footage.

The ministry clarified that the viral videos are over two years old and are being used to distort facts and create unrest. It said that fake narratives, fabricated news, and doctored images are part of a coordinated disinformation campaign led by the Taliban regime.

“The act of presenting old videos as new reflects the malicious intentions of the Afghan Taliban regime,” the statement added.

It further stated that India remains the biggest facilitator of such propaganda networks and continues to support anti-Pakistan narratives through digital misinformation campaigns.

The Information Ministry reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to countering false propaganda and protecting national interests through verified and transparent communication.
