Dense Fog Covers Punjab, M-5 Motorway Shut Between Uch Sharif and Zahir Pir
Heavy fog once again covered many parts of Punjab on Thursday, creating serious travel problems across major roads.
Motorway Section Closed Due to Low Visibility
The Motorway Police said that the M-5 Motorway had to be closed from Uch Sharif to Zahir Pir. Visibility dropped to almost zero in some places. Fog also affected several national highways. Drivers were warned to slow down, use fog lights, and avoid travelling unless necessary.
Smog Adds to the Air Pollution Crisis
The fog mixed with smog, making the air quality even worse. Many cities recorded dangerous pollution levels.

All of these cities entered the hazardous category, making it unsafe for outdoor activities.
Lahore Among the Most Polluted Cities
Lahore also continued to struggle with choking smog. The city recorded an AQI of 194, placing it among the top four most polluted cities in the world on Thursday. Experts say the situation needs urgent control measures.
