Who is Nargis Malika, arrested in Karachi drug crackdown?
Karachi police have intensified their crackdown on drug trafficking networks following the high-profile arrest of Anmol Pincky. In a fresh operation, police carried out another major raid and arrested a female suspect identified as Nargis alias Malika, who is believed to be a key supplier in an expanding drug network.
Acting on secret intelligence, Qayyumabad police conducted the raid and detained the accused from Khudadad Graveyard in Swati Mohalla. Police described her as a highly wanted suspect involved in large-scale drug distribution across the city.
During the operation, officials recovered a large quantity of narcotics, including 35 kilograms and 265 grams of hashish, valued at more than Rs60 million. Police also seized over Rs100,000 in cash. Authorities said the drugs were meant to be supplied to different areas of Karachi, including upscale localities, showing the wide reach of the network.
SSP Malir Abdul Khaliq Pirzada confirmed the operation and said it is part of an ongoing crackdown on organized drug trafficking groups. He added that this arrest follows earlier action taken in the Anmol alias “Pinky” case.
Investigators believe Nargis alias Malika was also supplying drugs to different areas of interior Sindh. Police suspect she is part of a larger criminal network, and several of her accomplices are still at large.
SSP Pirzada said the drug network is spread across multiple areas of the city and is involved in systematic distribution. He added that raids are continuing to arrest remaining members and fully break the network.
Authorities said further arrests are expected as investigations continue into the complete drug supply chain.
Background: Anmol “Pinky” Case
Anmol “Pinky” was earlier arrested in a major narcotics case that shocked many people. She was accused of running a large cocaine production and supply network targeting elite areas of Karachi, with possible links to other major cities.
Police said the raid on her Garden-area residence led to the recovery of more than 1.5 kg of processed cocaine, chemical materials, drug-making equipment, and a weapon. Investigators also alleged that drugs were supplied through couriers and online channels to wealthy areas such as DHA and Clifton.
Authorities described the network as highly organized, offering cocaine in different categories at premium prices for high-end clients. Officials also claimed she had previous cases and had been avoiding arrest for years.
Her court appearance without handcuffs triggered public criticism and an official inquiry. She is currently in judicial custody, while investigations into drug and weapons charges are still ongoing.
Authorities stressed that all allegations are under investigation and will be proven in court.
