Karachi Police Link Pinky Drug Case to 869 Contacts, Rs 30M Transactions, Foreign Network
Karachi Police Chief Awais Khan has revealed significant progress in the ongoing investigation into alleged drug trafficker Anmol alias Pinky, stating that mobile forensic analysis uncovered 869 contacts, including 132 numbers registered in Karachi. Officials confirmed that the investigation is no longer limited to Karachi, as the network spans multiple cities and countries.
During a detailed press briefing, authorities stated that individuals involved in purchasing and further distributing drugs linked to the accused have already been arrested. Investigators also confirmed that the suspect had allegedly been active in drug sales in Karachi since 2018.
According to police officials, around 20 women are suspected to be part of the network, most of whom are reportedly based in Lahore. Additionally, eight out of nine riders involved in drug delivery operations were from Punjab, while only one was from Karachi.
Authorities disclosed that financial transactions exceeding 30 million rupees have been traced so far. Police are coordinating with Punjab Police and the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) to further expand the investigation and identify additional suspects.
Karachi Police Chief further confirmed that narcotics were recovered from the suspect’s previous residence in Sachal, along with evidence linking her to drug production activities. Officials also said a 1.5-kilogram cocaine seizure, chemicals used in manufacturing, and a pistol were recovered during an intelligence-based operation conducted on May 12.
Police added that three officers have been suspended over alleged negligence during the case handling. Investigators also revealed that the accused’s statement spans nearly 500 pages, reflecting the complexity of the case.
Authorities further stated that the drug network includes foreign nationals, with reports suggesting the presence of individuals from Africa and multiple foreign operatives based in Lahore. Officials confirmed that around 7 to 8 foreign suspects are currently under observation.
Investigators also revealed that the accused is linked to approximately 20 cases in Sindh, including 17 older and 3 new cases. In 6 cases, she has reportedly been acquitted, while she remains wanted in an Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) case.
Police said the investigation indicates that the accused became involved in drug-related activities as early as 2014 and expanded operations online in 2018. Authorities emphasized that coordination with multiple agencies is ongoing to ensure a complete dismantling of the network.
