Externally Sponsored Terrorism Cannot Stop Pakistan’s Rise, Says CDF Asim Munir

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Asim Munir on tuesday said externally sponsored terrorism, propaganda campaigns and fake news cannot stop Pakistan from moving forward. He made these remarks during his visit to Quetta Garrison, where he addressed officers and faculty members at the Command and Staff College Quetta.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) appreciated the institution for maintaining high standards of military education and professional training.

During his speech, Field Marshal Asim Munir praised the Command and Staff College for producing highly professional officers over the years. He said graduates of the institution have always shown outstanding performance and dedication in their military careers.

The army chief highlighted the importance of intellectual growth, discipline and professional excellence in modern military leadership. He said officers must continue learning to face future challenges effectively.

Field Marshal Asim Munir also spoke about the changing nature of warfare around the world. He said modern conflicts now involve advanced technologies, multi-domain operations and joint military coordination.

He stressed the need for officers and troops to stay prepared for future battlefield challenges. He advised military personnel to improve their skills through continuous training and professional development.

The COAS said operational readiness and professionalism are necessary to protect national security in a rapidly changing security environment.

Later, the Field Marshal met officers and troops deployed in different areas of Balochistan. During the meeting, he reviewed the overall security situation in the province.

He reaffirmed that Pakistan Armed Forces remain fully committed to eliminating terrorism from the country with the support of the people of Pakistan.

Field Marshal Asim Munir said hostile elements using proxies, propaganda and disinformation campaigns against Pakistan would fail because of the nation’s unity and the resilience of state institutions.

The army chief also discussed the importance of long-term peace and stability in Balochistan. He said development and security must go together for lasting progress in the province.

He emphasized a people-centered approach, inclusive development and better governance to strengthen trust between the state and the people.

Field Marshal Asim Munir appreciated the efforts of the Government of Balochistan for public welfare projects and socio-economic development initiatives.

The COAS praised the high morale and operational preparedness of officers and soldiers serving in Balochistan. He appreciated their sacrifices and commitment to maintaining peace, stability and the writ of the state.

Earlier, upon his arrival in Quetta, the Field Marshal was received by the Commander Quetta Corps.
