PM Shehbaz Sharif Addresses Pakistan–China B2B Investment Conference
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, speech on the Pakistan–China Business-to-Business Investment Conference, and spoke about the friendship bond and growing economic cooperation between the Pakistan and China.
In his speech, he celebrating 75 years of diplomatic relations, calling the friendship between the two nations “deep and historic.” He also commended China’s expansion, saying cities like Hangzhou shows the vision and leadership of President Xi Jinping.
The Prime Minister stated that President Xi has developed China into a ne of the world’s major economic and military powers. He further said that Pakistan aspires to strengthen as a key development partner f China in the region in the coming years.
Shehbaz Sharif added that MoUs worth billions of dollars were signed between Shenzhen and Hangzhou with about 30% already formalized. He underlined the process to be expedited even more.
Prime Minister emphasized important fields of collaboration, such as agriculture, IT, economic zones, and the mining and minerals sector. He encouraged investors to invest in Pakistan’s rich minerals and strong agricultural sector
Shehbaz Sharif Said, instead of loans, Pakistan need investment, skills, and expertise. He also announced plans to create small businesses in rural areas and promote value addition in agriculture.
He added that a one-window facility and “red carpet treatment” will be provided to investors in special economic zones. A world-class economic zone spanning 6,000 acres is also being developed in Karachi.
He said Pakistan is committed to reform, development, and building a stronger future with China.
