Nearly 2,000 Islamabad Police jobs approved for 2026 - Check details
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police has approved nearly 2,000 new job positions to strengthen security and improve law and order in the federal capital.
According to officials, 997 positions have been allocated for VIP security and the protection of sensitive installations, while 937 positions will be used to support law and order duties.
The recruitment drive includes 1,580 constables and 180 head constables. In addition, 24 inspectors have been approved to supervise field operations.
The force will also recruit 100 assistant sub-inspectors (ASIs) and 50 sub-inspectors (SIs) through direct hiring.
Officials said the cost of the new recruitment will be covered through the existing budget of the Federal Police.
An official recruitment advertisement will soon be published in national newspapers and on the Islamabad Police website. The advertisement will provide details about eligibility requirements, test schedules, and application deadlines.
The Islamabad Capital Territory Police (ICTP) is responsible for maintaining law and order, protecting residents, securing government institutions, foreign diplomatic missions, and visiting international delegations.
Authorities said the new hiring aims to strengthen policing services and improve public safety across the capital.
