Survivors Recount Horror as Lahore Tuition Centre Roof Collapse Kills 14 Children

After the tragic incident two other children received first aid at the scene and were sent home, while the teacher remains under treatment at Lahore General Hospital. Rescue efforts continued as families searched for missing children amid the rubble following the collapse.

Survivors described a sudden and terrifying moment when the roof gave way. One student said workers were laying bricks on the roof when it collapsed without warning, burying several children under debris. He added that his brother was among those killed, while he narrowly escaped the incident.

Another student said the class was completing an assignment when the structure fell. A young girl reported being trapped after a water cooler fell on her leg, and was later rescued by construction workers and relatives. A grieving mother said three of her children were enrolled at the tuition centre, noting that two survived while one lost his life. Residents alleged that construction work was ongoing at the time and claimed the building was already in a dilapidated condition.
