Atta Tarar Reaffirms Pakistan-Turkiye Ties on Anniversary of 2016 Coup Attempt

Federal Minister for Information Atta Tarar has praised the resilience of the Turkish people, saying they courageously confronted a terrorist organization during the failed coup attempt a decade ago. Speaking at an event in Islamabad, he said no force had been able to defeat the determination and unity demonstrated by the people of Turkiye.

Tarar described the steadfastness of the Turkish nation as a powerful example of the strength of public unity, adding that great achievements are possible when people stand together. He also commended the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, saying Turkiye has made significant progress under his leadership.

Highlighting the close relationship between the two countries, the minister said Pakistan and Turkiye share historic ties that predate Pakistan’s independence. He added that the two nations enjoy strong people-to-people relations and have consistently supported one another during times of difficulty.
