New Private Airline to Begin Domestic Flights on July 16

15 July, 2026 16:41

South Air, a new private airline in Pakistan, will start scheduled domestic flights on July 16, 2026. The airline will initially operate flights between Karachi, Islamabad, and Bahawalpur. It will also launch new services from Karachi to Gwadar, Sukkur, and Rahim Yar Khan.

South Air said the new routes will improve air connectivity across the country and support regional development by providing safe and reliable travel.

The airline will begin operations with ATR 72-600 aircraft, which are known for fuel efficiency and strong performance on short and medium-distance routes.

South Air Chief Executive Officer Nishat Fatima said the airline aims to improve air travel by offering safe, timely, and high-quality services while connecting cities with limited flight options.

She added that the airline plans to expand its fleet and add more routes in the future.

South Air has also signed a memorandum of understanding with Dream World Destination Hotels and Golf Course to offer travel packages, discounts, and tourism promotions.

The airline said it will focus on international safety standards, punctuality, customer service, and professional operations.

Aviation experts believe South Air’s entry will increase competition in Pakistan’s aviation sector, improve regional connectivity, and support trade, tourism, and the economy.

Passengers have been advised to follow the airline’s official channels for updates on flight schedules, fares, and bookings before services begin on July 16.
