Bilawal Bhutto, Balochistan CM Discuss Security Situation and Political Dialogue

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari met Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti at Zardari House in Islamabad, where the chief minister briefed him on the province’s administrative, political, and security situation. Bugti also updated the PPP chairman on the recent terrorist incident in Ziarat, saying the provincial government had supported the victims’ families and established a judicial commission to investigate the tragedy in line with their demands.
During the meeting, Bugti said an All Parties Conference (APC) would soon be convened to discuss lasting peace in Balochistan. He added that the conference would include not only parliamentary parties but also political groups that are currently outside Parliament, with the aim of promoting broad-based political consensus on the province’s challenges.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari paid tribute to the personnel of the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC), and police who lost their lives in the line of duty, and expressed sympathy with the families of those killed in recent incidents. He said he appreciated the chief minister’s efforts to advance the dialogue process and stressed that political negotiations remain the only viable solution to Balochistan’s political issues. Bilawal reaffirmed the PPP’s commitment to dialogue among political parties and said the party’s stance against terrorism has remained clear from the outset, pledging continued unity against the threat of militancy.
