CDF Asim Munir Calls for Stronger Efforts to Counter Negative Propaganda About Balochistan

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, interacted with prominent figures and political leaders of Balochistan.

During the meeting, Field Marshal Asim Munir said that the present and future of Balochistan and Pakistan are inseparable and will remain so. He described the people of Balochistan as talented, resilient, patriotic and proud.

He stressed that lasting peace and stability are essential for unlocking Balochistan’s economic potential, attracting investment and turning the province’s human and natural resources into prosperity for its people.

Field Marshal Asim Munir highlighted the potential of Balochistan’s youth, saying there is no shortage of talent or opportunities among young people. He emphasized that empowering the youth and providing them with opportunities to contribute to national development is essential for sustainable progress.

The COAS and CDF said that Fitna al Khawarij and Fitna al Hindustan terrorists are foreign-sponsored proxies being used by hostile elements to destabilize Balochistan, hinder its development and create divisions between the state and the people.

He expressed confidence that such designs would be defeated through national unity and a firm and decisive response from the state.

Field Marshal Asim Munir also appreciated the role of Balochistan’s political, social and community leaders in promoting peace, strengthening social cohesion and supporting a constructive national narrative.

He called for a comprehensive response to hostile propaganda and emphasized the need to highlight the true potential, progress and aspirations of Balochistan and its people.

He reiterated that the destiny of Balochistan rests in the hands of its own people.

The participants reaffirmed their commitment to peace, development and prosperity in Balochistan and Pakistan. They also expressed their resolve to stand with the state and armed forces against foreign-sponsored threats to peace and stability.

The participants further pledged to contribute towards people-centered development and work for a peaceful, stable and prosperous Balochistan.
