Pakistan’s likely pool 25-member pool for T20 World Cup

23 March, 2024 15:31

With a couple of day remaining in the start of the Pakistan team’s training camp in the Pakistan Military Academy Kakul, the announcement for 25-member pool is expected in next few days.

However, sources revealed that most of the names have been finalised and got the approval from Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman (PCB) Mohsin Naqvi.

The delay in announcement is reportedly due to the meeting between former all-rounder Imad Wasim the PCB chief.

Imad proved his worth in the recently concluded HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) with impressive three player of the match awards in a row in must-win games for Islamabad United.

He is expected to make the final decision on his international return after the meeting.

However, players like Irfan Khan Niazi, Mumtaz Mehran, Abrar Ahmed and Mohammad Ali are likely to be called up for the camp.

Here is the likely 25-member pool for ICC T20 World Cup:

Babar Azam, Saim Ayub, Mohammad Rizwan, Usman Khan, Saud Shakeel, Sahibzada Farhan, Iftikhar Ahmed, Salman Agha, Shadab Khan, Imad Wasim, Azam Khan, Irfan Niazi, Hassan Ali, Mohammad Ali, Naseem Shah, Haris Ruaf, Zaman Khan, Amir Jamal, Mehran Mumtaz, Abbas Afridi, Mohammad Wasim jr, Usama Mir, Abrar Ahmed, Haseebullah, and Mohammad Nawaz.
